I’m Chanel - Chef and Creator of The Pink Skillet, A My earliest food memories are of reading my grandmother’s cookbooks and experimenting with her in the kitchen from a very young age. Those special moments shaped me into the fearless & dynamic foodie that I am today. Whether it is a quick summer BBQ or preparing a 5-course menu for , I approach with the same enthusiasm and energy.

My love of cooking (as a career) comes from a desire to connect with and nourish people. I feel instant gratification from seeing how happy delicious food makes everyone. I grew up in an extremely diverse neighborhood in southeast San Diego where a wide array of individuals allowed me to learn about their heritage through the intimacy of food. While cultivating my passion to create, those cultural inspirations from Central America, the Caribbean, and the American South Creole people infused and electrified my love for the kitchen. THE PINK SKILLET

Pink is such a multifaceted hue. It can be bold and intense, warm, soft, and compassionate, vibrant, and non-threatening. It represents the universal love of one's self and others and it’s vibration symbolizes good health, vitality, friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, and approachability. The intention of The Pink Skillet is that the food always elevates the spirit and fills one from the inside out with love. My cookware is not *literally* pink but I hope it‘s influence leaves an impression on your soul (and belly) with the best and brightest of energies just the same.
